International Phrases

Here is a collection of European language phrases that will help you to show your courtesy to co-operating ATC. We believe that saying "Good Night Thank you for your services" in the controller's native language shows another dimension of your respect to his/her service. Although  phrases below were translated by VATSIM vACCs staff, in case you think that something is wrong please let us know.

Good Morning :  goede morgen
Good Afternoon : goede namiddag
Good Evening : goede avond
Good Night : goede nacht
Thank you very much : dank U wel
Thank you very much for your services: dank U wel voor uw diensten

Croatian Language

Good Day : Dobar dan

Good Morning : Dobro jutro
Good Afternoon : Dobar dan (the same as in good day)
Good Evening : Dobro vece
Good Night : Laku noc (this is used as good night after a conversation - as in: I'm going to sleep now ! Under no circumstances to say hallo to someone. To say hello, 'Dobro vece' is used and vice versa !!!)
 
Thank you very much : Hvala lijepa
Thank you very much for your services : Hvala na usluzi (generally; and not so suitable so just: ' HVALA ' should be used :-)) )
 
 
How to pronounce Cro letters
 
all letters are always pronounced the same regardless of combinaion:
 
in relation to english
 
a = as in amadeus
j = as in yoga
e = as in echo and NOT easter
H = as in hotel
u = as in oo in english oops ??!"?
z = as in zulu
c = ONLY IN THESE WORDS (in our languages we have c, č, ć but c can be used for international correspondecne) is pronounced as CH in engligh. Otherwise c is prounounced ts in english)

Czech Language

Good Day : Dobry den
Good Morning : Dobre rano
Good Afternoon :  - (usually used "Dobry den" = Good day)
Good Evening : Dobry vecer
Good Night : Dobrou noc (Usually used when going to bed. �For our purposes is better to say "Dobry vecer")
Thank you very much : Dekuji (more exactly but used not very often: "Diky moc" or "Velmi dekuji")
Thank you very much for your services : Dekuji za sluzbu (used not very often)
 
All idioms usually completed by "pane" or "madam" at the end (for "sir" resp. "lady"). Example: "Dobry den pane".
